Word comes that the long-lost Amber Room may have been found!
21 February - Today's New York Times carries this short article about the possible discovery of the fabled Amber Room, a set of panels made from amber backed with gold that was given by Prussia to Russia in 1716. A more complete story appears here in The Guardian newspaper online.
Degas scholarship is one clue richer!
